We ordered last minute trying to find my son a Mortal Kombat cake, and they were able to accomedate us. Both Jan and Angela are so sweet, and went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Customer service is exceptional. The prices are very reasonable. I was having a joint birthday party for my 8 year old and 2 year old. My 2 year old was getting Mickey mouse and my 8 year old wanted dinosaur. And we are gluten free. Where the heck was I going to get a gluten free Mickey mouse/dinosaur cake?! Cakes by Jan completely surpassed my expectations! Jan made our wedding cake and it was absolutely gorgeous and delicious! She was given very short notice due to a family sickness and did not hesitate to take on making our cake. She is very reasonably priced and does a magnificent job with lots of beautiful details. She is now our “cake lady”!
My two teen girls took a cookie decorating class and learned so many great decorating skills for using Royal icing . They Also received a great recipe for cookies and the icing . They came home and continued to create more cookies after they were taught the right techniques. Enjoyed by all
I contacted Jan to make me a vegan cake for my wife for her birthday. She not only met my expectations but she exceeded them with her kindness, efficiency and execution on such an amazing cake. My wife was in cake heaven! It was so delicious! My five children enjoyed this cake as well and that says a lot because my children are the pickiest of eaters. I am not a vegan person, I am far from that but this cake was outstanding and I will absolutely be back for more of Jan’s delicious cakes!
I took a one-on-one cake decorating lesson from Jan in April after years of wanting to learn, and my only regret is not looking her up sooner. The picture attached is the cake I was able to decorate after just that one lesson. Jan is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and is the perfect teacher for decoration beginners.
